Time has flown since we last gave an update. What in the world happened? I blame some sort of space-time vortex! In reality, we have been rather busy in the work. I look forward to sharing some encouraging news.
At the end of April, we came out of yet another lockdown in our state/city here. We weren’t sure what to expect in regards to attendance; and, sure enough, two months with no in-person services seemed to have done away with a few of our families. Regardless of this, we have pressed on. We have maintained our soul-winning schedule, and we completed discipleship with another group of new believers at the end of May.
As June started, we began knocking doors in a new area, and we saw several salvation decisions day after day! At one house, I introduced myself and my soul-winning partner to the lady (Monica) at the door right as her husband Luiz was coming up to the house. I began to share the Gospel with them, and after about 20 minutes, they both said that they wanted to trust Christ as their Saviour. Just a few doors away, another team was sharing the Gospel with a young lady, who also bowed her head and trusted Christ. Amen!
For the last two weeks, we have been gearing up for our first Family Conference, which is going on this week. We have had heavy rain all week long, but we have been full to overflowing every night of service. God has brought visitors every night, and people have been at the altar every service. It is a great comfort to see God work and do the impossible. We look forward to sharing details about the full conference in our next letter.
We would appreciate your prayers with us for the following needs:
1) Grounding and growth of new converts
2) Involvement of new church members
3) Lasting fruit from the conference
4) A church van
May God continue to bless you all as you serve Him on your “field” for the furtherance of the Gospel. We love you and thank the Lord for your partnership in this ministry of reaching the northeast region of Brazil.
Declaring His glory,
Wesley Palla
