Praise the Lord for His continued blessings. We thank Him for the privilege of seeing 1,134 precious souls profess faith in Christ through the personal soul winning of our people. It’s a wonderful thing when our folks are involved in soul winning, and there are so many opportunities here. We have people from different careers and stations in life who come together in our church for the work of the Lord. It is wonderful to see their joy and their fruit.
It was wonderful to spend time with our children and grandchildren and to visit churches that have helped us for over 20 years. We returned to the Philippines on October 24. It was good to get back and get immersed in the ministry. We’re grateful for faithful church staff who were trained in our Bible college and for our seasoned lay workers who held the fort while we were away.
We returned in the middle of our annual Harvest Campaign, where our people go all out for five weeks bringing visitors and sharing the Gospel. It’s exciting to see their zeal and enthusiasm for the ministry.
One thing I love about serving God is to see how He combines our efforts and uses all of us to accomplish His Great Commission. Along with the Philippines’ openness to the Gospel is the tremendous open door to send missionaries from the Philippines to other nations, especially in this part of the world. Our church now supports 38 missionaries, mostly in Southeast Asia and Africa. It thrills me that the missionaries our church here in the Philippines supports are an extension of the churches that have sacrificed to support Ester and me for all these years. Can you imagine our rejoicing throughout eternity as we reflect on how God has coordinated our efforts in His great strategic plan to reach the world?!
We are in the process of reapplying for our building permit. Our original permit was approved just as the pandemic was beginning, and the construction was put on hold. We are hoping to break ground early in 2025. Please pray that the Lord would expedite the building permit and construction and give us wisdom as we proceed.
Ester and I are eternally grateful to you all for sacrificing to keep us in this land of opportunity.
Yours for souls,
Courtney & Ester Godsoe
