We can’t help but be extra thankful during the month of November as we observe Thanksgiving. As missionaries we are continually thankful for our supporting churches and those who give faithfully each month to our ministry. One thing that we are especially grateful for this year is that we get to work on a mission field that is open to the Gospel.
I had the opportunity to go with our Thai pastor, Sakrapee Jomhong, and my dad, Brother Randy Shook, to speak to a group of marketing professionals in our province about the true meaning of Christmas. God used this time for us to also give the Gospel to these 20 adults; 17 of the 20 prayed and received Jesus as their Saviour that day! Since then, one of the ladies has come faithfully to our Sunday morning services. What a blessing to see folks ready to know Him!
Missy and I were able to see 10 people receive Jesus as their Saviour this month in our personal soul-winning efforts.
Please pray for us as our team prepares to start a new midweek service early next year in the village of one of our faithful Karen church members. We are praying that God will use this to eventually build a new church in this area.
We are continuing through the discipleship materials with our core members on Wednesday evenings. Once we are finished, several of our members will start weekly village Bible studies where they will reach out to their neighbors and friends.
We have much work to be done, and God is doing great things! Thank you for praying and faithfully supporting our work and ministry. We thank God for you!
For Him,
Tim Shook
