I wanted to send a short update about God’s blessings, specifically in the teen class at International Baptist Church of Hua Hin.
Missy and I have enjoyed this new opportunity to teach the teen class the past five months. My prayer and dream for our young people is that they will catch the excitement of serving the Lord and desire to give their lives to Him as they become young adults. As we go through the Teaching All Nations curriculum in class each Sunday, I have also been burdened to encourage them to memorize Scripture. We began learning the Scripture song from Psalm 118, so I also challenged the teens to memorize Psalm 118. So far, six of the young people, including our two children Lauren and Mark, have quoted the entire chapter.
Today in the adult Sunday service, some of the teens sang our song for the church special. The three young men whom I’ve been teaching to play guitar the last few months, played for the group, along with our daughter Lauren accompanying them on the piano. What a joy it was for our adult church members to hear their children sing and play for the Lord! Visit here to see the teens sing and play for the service.
If you would like to help these students be able to purchase their own instruments to further their learning, please contact me for more information. We are currently in need of another piano (electric), a couple of guitars, and a violin.
We pray that God will use His Word to build up these special young people and encourage them to serve the Lord with their lives. Please pray with us that God will continue to use us for His glory. Thailand needs the next generation to be strong in the Lord.
For Him,
Tim Shook
