This prayer letter comes with mixed emotions. We have some exciting news, but also some very difficult news. Many already know of the passing of Bro. Mark Rader, who was a longtime co-laborer and friend with Team Peru. Please keep his wife Sarah and their six children in your prayers during this very difficult time. There was a memorial service for him in Peru on Friday, February 24. Many people who were influenced by his life over his many years of service were there. There will also be a funeral service here in Hammond, Indiana, at First Baptist Church on Saturday, March 11.
On a much happier note, Cassandra and I are almost completed with deputation and will be moving to Peru on March 29, as the Lord allows! These last several weeks have been filled with wonderful meetings in Michigan, Ohio, Alabama, Mississippi, and Illinois. We have also completed many important business items to help prepare us to move to the field.
During this time, my grandpa, Larry Foust, passed away on February 14. We are thankful for Heaven and are looking forward to seeing him again. We would like to thank each of you who prayed for our family! My dad and mom flew home for the funeral, and despite the sadness of the situation, it was a blessing to have our entire family together. So many friends and loved ones came and showed their support for my dad and our family. We are very grateful.
Over the next few weeks, we will be finishing a few deputation meetings from Michigan all the way to Texas. We will also be packing all of our suitcases and purchasing much-needed items for the field. We will also have a final service at our home church on March 26, which will also be my ordination service.
In closing, we ask you to pray for several requests! Please pray for the Rader family during this difficult time. Please pray for my parents and those serving the Lord in Peru during this time! Please pray for a lady named Brenda, whom I was able to lead to the Lord a few weeks ago in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with pastor PJ Pallini. Please pray for a smooth transition to the field in just a few short weeks! We are so grateful for each of you.
May God bless you!
Zach and Cassandra Foust
