“Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.” (Psalm 150:6)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support. We are so grateful that our family has the honor of serving the Lord Jesus here in Cambodia, a country that has had no foundation of Christ for many centuries. Now when December comes, almost anywhere you go, you will hear Christmas songs being played in the stores. Almost everyone seems to enjoy Christmas; however, many of them do not know what Christmas is.
We thank the Lord that we had the opportunity of celebrating Christmas at our church. We had 15 first-time visitors. The total attendance was 100, and I preached a sermon entitled, ‘’Who Is Jesus Christ, Why Is He So Popular, and Why Does Even the World Sing His Name During Christmas?’’ In the evening service, we showed a film about the life of Christ. We had good number of people come for the video.
We have a Korean man who came to our church three weeks before Christmas. He did not speak Cambodian; he spoke broken English, and I barely understood it. He offered to donate some money for the children’s Christmas ministry. Praise the Lord for his generosity. I wanted to honor him for helping the children’s ministry on Christmas Day, but sadly, he wasn’t around. Perhaps he was an angel sent from above—you never know! ‘’Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” (Hebrews 13:2)
We are planning to take furlough from April to September of this year. If you would like us to come and report on the work, please contact us.
For Christ’s sake,
Kounaro, Chorvy, Priscilla, Christina, & Jonathan Keo
