Dan and Gerri Johnson Prayer Letter: Back in BrazilWe apologize for missing our last update. We had actually written it, but because we were in the States on a four-month furlough, we acquired a U.S. number to use while there, and our Brazilian phone and internet services were blocked. This also blocked our ability to send our update through the channels we usually use. We are back now, but our update somehow got lost, so we are starting over.

We enjoyed fellowshipping with many pastors and their members while visiting both supporting and new churches. Our biggest blessing was seeing the Lord send in all of the rest of the $200,000 we were trying to raise to purchase property to build our own church building. However, when we checked on the land, it had gone up $50,000! We have already received an additional $10,000. Pray that the other $40,000 will come in. We are also looking at other possibilities for land. Pray with us that we can quickly get all of the money transferred into Brazilian currency so we can begin to negotiate. Money in hand usually speaks loudly.

During our last two times in the States, we confronted health problems. Praise the Lord, this furlough went smoothly until the last day! Gerri got sick on the last day, and we had to postpone our flight by one day, but we arrived back without a problem. Gerri spent the next day in bed but is now feeling better, and we are now getting back in the groove The next few months include a Youth Conference, a National Leadership Conference, the inauguration of a new church plant close by, and our church’s 10th anniversary.

Pray that the Lord will bless greatly in these coming events.

In His service,

Dan & Gerri Johnson
