Tim and Christa Simmons Prayer Letter: God’s Continued Blessings on Our Ministry

This past month has been filled with God’s continued blessings on our ministry and family.

Mother’s Day Blessings

We were blessed with a good weekend to celebrate Mother’s Day. We started with a special ladies’ Bible study, where we had a time of celebration and worship. At the end, they were able to decorate cookies (many for the first time) and take them home to show their families. On Sunday, we also had a Baby Dedication, where our own Elizabeth plus another baby were brought forward to dedicate to the Lord. We had several visitors as well that day, and after a presentation of salvation at the end of the service, four professed their faith in Christ as their personal Saviour. Praise the Lord!

Baptism Service

As we do not have our own baptistery, we asked another church in our city if we could use theirs. We had our Sunday morning service at that church. I had the privilege to preach to the combined congregation. Afterwards, we listened to the salvation testimonies before the baptism. Two of them were reached by the evangelism team from Mexico. We had three people who were excited to follow the Lord in believer’s baptism! All three of them are also faithful in their discipleship classes. Please pray for their continued spiritual growth!

Discipleship

We were excited to present certificates of completion for different levels of discipleship to several members of our church. We are praising the Lord for His continued blessings, as our church members are enthusiastic about learning more about the Bible and how it can be applied to their lives personally. Please pray with us, as we have several more who have decided to start discipleship as well; pray also for their spiritual journey.

Family

Our children are learning and growing in their classes at school and especially in their language learning. Please pray for our health, especially during the next few months as we change seasons for winter. This month it seems to be the worst we’ve had for our daughter Emmalynn, especially as her RAD (a form of asthma) has given her many attacks at home and at school. It also seems that the humidity and cold are affecting the other children in various forms of colds and sickness. Please pray for our health.
