We kicked off 2023 at Grace Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California, to preach their annual revival services, “Set Apart to Serve!” The singing, testimonies, fellowship, and food were wonderful. God met with us in a special way. The next weekend, we were blessed to be with Clarity Baptist Church in Riverside, California. Pastor Marrujo and his family started this church five years ago, and we were encouraged by their example. Again, a wonderful time was had with their church family, and it was an honor to present and preach during their evening service.
After a couple family days in San Diego, we spent the next Wednesday night with First Baptist Church in Commerce, California. Pastor Sigala graciously gave us the opportunity to present and teach the Bible study. From Commerce, we traveled to Wildomar, California, to join Faith Baptist Church for their Missions Conference. Pastor Luis Ramos from Mexico was the keynote speaker, and God used him in a mighty way during those three days. FBC and Pastor Goddard put together a first-class conference, and we were encouraged by many sweet Christians who shared with us that they had been praying for my family (Dave and Mary Beth Solt) for over two decades.
Having concluded our time in California, we traveled across the state line to be with Liberty Baptist Church in Prescott, Arizona. Prescott is the hometown of my father, and this church has loved on our family for years. On Wednesday night, I was privileged with the opportunity to present and teach the Bible study. We also were able to spend time with my grandmother and aunt throughout the week. We ended January at Coronado Baptist Church in Tucson, Arizona. Pastor MacRae and the church family there put together a fantastic Missions Weekend, which included an amazing International Banquet.
Soul Report
In January, the Lord allowed us the opportunity to fully present the Gospel to eight souls, with one trusting Christ. While out soul winning in California, we came across Sarah. She was in the process of unloading groceries from her car with the assistance of her three boys. Despite being busy, Sarah allowed us to present the Gospel, and she sweetly accepted Christ. Praise the Lord!
Family Update
Our family has been in good health this month, and we credit that to the many prayers that have been prayed on our behalf. Thank you! Ruby has six teeth that have cut their way through, and she is slowly increasing her vocabulary as time passes. Three more churches took us on for support this month, and we are anticipating the day when we arrive in England. All glory to Him! Thank you for loving us!
