Romans 1:16 tells us, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Jesus is the answer, and we must never cease from proclaiming His message of hope to the lost. We have made several contacts in recent weeks while knocking on doors, and we are continuing to seek to win these prospects to the Saviour. The last two weeks, I had the privilege of preaching in three churches on mainland Australia. It was a joy to see some of the young adults from the church in Sydney, many of whom are married now and continuing to serve the Lord.
Mark, a young man from the church here in Devonport, is about to begin his last semester of Bible college. Please pray for him as he seeks the Lord’s will for his future. We praise the Lord that at least two other young men from the church are planning to go to Bible college in the next year or two as well. It is encouraging to see them responding to God’s calling in their lives. Investing in the lives of the next generation, especially by praying for them, will reap eternal results. We are so thankful for the godly young people at Coastline Baptist Church.
Prayer Requests
1. Pray for these recent contacts from our personal soul winning and from the ladies’ soul winning: Nicole, Thomas, Maureen, Colleen, and Kylie.
2. Pray for those who were coming but who have started missing services. So many do not see the importance of faithfully attending church. Pray for wisdom as we seek to encourage them to return.
3. There was a bit of uncertainty regarding the building where the church has been meeting. The issue seems to be resolving, but pray for the Lord’s will to be done in the matter.
Thank you for praying for these requests and for us personally. We appreciate the need to pray for one another more than ever.
Sincerely yours, in the service of the King,
Brother Andrew Steers
