We thank you so much for your continued prayers as we travel on deputation. We had an exciting month of October! We started the month in Marion, North Carolina, where we spent some time with the good people of Grace Baptist Church. Pastor Grindstaff and his church had recently taken a missions trip to Peru with our team, where they were able to see over 700 people saved! We narrowly missed being in Peru with them, as we had to return to the States for deputation. It was great to be in a church where the people already knew about Peru and had personal experience with our team. We also got to spend time that Sunday evening at Chapel Hill Baptist Church across town and see the wonderful church there.
We left North Carolina for Jefferson City, Missouri, where we got to be in a Missions Conference with Pastor Andy Schmidt and Central Baptist Church. We made many new friends and were encouraged by their heart for missions. We spent almost a week with them. We had the chance to go soul winning, be a part of their Men’s Prayer Breakfast, and really get to know their church family. It was also exciting to have our own Dr. Ray Young preach the conference!
After we left Missouri, we returned to Indiana for the first time since the beginning of August. We had the chance to spend the weekend with Pastor Bill McSpadden and Liberty Baptist Church. They were such a blessing to Cassandra and me! We then traveled on to Northfield, Ohio, where we were able to be with Pastor Miller and New Testament Baptist Church. We spent three days with them getting to know the Millers and their church family. We drove from there back to North Carolina, where we got to see Grace Baptist Church in Marion again before heading to be with Pastor Tony Shirley and New Manna Baptist Church. We left there for Durham to be with Pastor Scott Gray and Liberty Baptist Church. God really blessed us this month with multiple churches taking us on for support, helping us reach our goal of getting back to Peru.
While we’re here on deputation, great things are happening in Peru. Many of you who pray for us may remember a man named Beyker and his wife Jennifer, whom I led to the Lord while soul winning in May just before returning to the States for deputation. They have now been attending church faithfully! We received an update that Beyker’s brother-in-law Emilio came to church this week! He was saved and baptized. What an amazing God we serve!
We have some exciting news to share! We get the opportunity to go to Peru for two weeks in December. We are looking forward to seeing my parents and the ministry there. We are excited, as we have many ministry opportunities awaiting us! Would you pray that we would see souls saved and that we would be a blessing to those with whom we come in contact while we are there? We believe the Lord will do great things during our short visit.
After our trip to Peru, we will return to finish deputation. God has blessed us so much on our journey thus far. Please continue to pray for us!
Sincerely,
Zach Jr. and Cassandra Foust
