I pray this letter finds you well. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
The last few months have been difficult ones for our family. We were scheduled to go to the States on September 5, but my wife’s health deteriorated pretty quickly, and we had to leave a month earlier to get her some help. The doctors were able to stabilize her. She is now on medication and getting better. The best diagnose I got is that she is suffering side effects of the chemotherapy she underwent two years ago. While we were in the States, we were able to visit some churches but had to cancel some meetings because of my wife’s condition.
We came back to Honduras on October 31 and have been working on finishing our building. A church in New York gave us $5,000 to help with construction. This money has allowed us to pour the floor and put metal doors and bars on the windows, and we should have enough to polish the walls and paint the building. I am amazed at God’s goodness and faithfulness to us. We still need to put tiles on the floor, do the electrical work, and install doors (wooden), windows, sidewalks, and a platform. Please pray that God will provide to finish our building.
The work definitely suffers when the pastor is not around, but we are trying to get things running again. We have seen a good group going out soul winning since I came back, and people are trusting Christ as their Saviour every week. Since I came back, Mynor, a teenager in our church, has been asking me for tracts. He said that every week, he and some of his friends have been going to a mall to pass out tracts and witness to people. Praise God! Mynor is a senior in high school, teaches Sunday school, has been called to preach, and is planning to attend Bible college next year. Please pray for him.
Thank you for your prayers and financial support. May God bless you and continue to use you.
Truly,
Osmin Gutierrez
