What’s New?
We are so thankful for family members who allowed us to stay with them while we’re visiting surrounding states or just having a little bit of down time. This gave us time to reconnect with family, friends, and our home churches. We visited seven churches during March and April. Out of the churches that we have had the opportunity to visit, four have taken us on for support! We have even heard back from a church we visited last spring! Our current support level is now at 60%!
Blessings and Answers to Prayer!
We were faced with some uncertainties while we were in Arizona this past month. After our meeting with Pastor Cowling in Mesa, we had a week and a half before our next meeting in Sierra Vista. We just knew that paying for a hotel would drain our finances, so we started calling a list of prophet’s chambers in the Phoenix area. Praise God that Pastor Anthony Garrisi of Payson First Baptist Church in Payson, Arizona, had availability in his prophet’s chamber! He allowed us to stay there for eight days. We had access to a kitchen, which saved us from fast-food costs as well! That is Blessing #1!
Blessing #2 came on Easter Sunday. Like we mentioned above, we were trying to stretch our cash and spend our money wisely. We did not go to Payson First Baptist Church for a meeting, but God impressed upon Pastor Garrisi’s heart to allow me to present our ministry during the evening service. After the service, Pastor Garrisi took up an unexpected, but much-needed, love offering for us! We enjoyed fellowshipping, door knocking, and making new friends with this great church!
Blessing #3 was met in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Our A/C fan decided to quit on us while we were in Payson. We’d had our A/C fixed last spring while we were in California, and we did not want to pay another $700 in repairs. So, we decided to wait until we could see our mechanic in Iowa. We were given a “Needs List” at Mountain Vista Baptist Church (Sierra Vista) and asked to fill it out with our top five needs. We have never had to fill out a “Needs List” before and did not know what to write down. Kellie took a chance and wrote down our broken A/C as a need. This was on a Wednesday. The following Thursday, the lists were passed out to the congregation, and Kellie was approached about our van by a member of the church, who just happened to be a retired mechanic. He asked us to drop off our van at his house so he could look at it and see if he could fix it. It turned out to be a simple, $12 fix, and he did not charge us for the repair! What a blessing! Cold air is not a necessity, but it sure helps when you drive for miles at a time.
God spoiled us a little extra during this trip and met our needs in the most unexpected ways.
Schedule
We have a lot of availability for this upcoming summer, and while we love spending time with our friends and family, we have a greater desire to travel and visit new churches. Please pray with us that our schedule fills up.
Media
Please check out our Morrow Tanzania Vimeo channel and enjoy our videos about Tanzania and deputation. Each video is no longer than two minutes and is filled with our exciting adventures! We enjoy updating you via prayer letters, but having a visual about what is going on in our lives has already proven to be a blessing to others. “Mine eye affecteth mine heart . . . .” (Lamentations 3:51)
