“My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart,
and my portion for ever.”
(Psalm 73:26)
First off, thank you so much for your unwavering faith during this pandemic. Since we got to the U.S on June 27, we have been traveling to our supporting churches and visiting family in different states—from Illinois in the North, to Louisiana in the South, and to North Carolina in the East. Pretty soon we will be making our way to California in the West. We praise the Lord for His protection during our travels. So far, we have had only one church cancel our meetings due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in that city.
We had a wonderful Missions Conference at Union City Baptist Temple in Union City, Tennessee, pastored by Tony Keeton. A few years ago, their church building burned to the ground, but the Lord did not cease to bless their ministry. Because of God’s grace, they have a beautiful auditorium today, and they are still being faithful in helping many missionaries. While I was there, I also had the opportunity to go soul winning with the church people.
This September, we took our oldest daughter Kimberlee to attend Bible college on opening day. It was very hard to say goodbye; however, we know that she is in a good place where she can grow and one day find God’s will for her life. Please continue to pray for her.
A few weeks ago, we received the good news from our church people in Cambodia that the government has opened the church back up to normal services, with precautions. Recently, there’s has been heavy rain throughout the country. Therefore, many places are flooded. For example, the house of one of our church families was flooded with waters over two feet deep. I have been told that this year’s floods are the worst Cambodia has seen since we went to the field in 2003. Some people are living on the streets because their homes have been destroyed. If you would like to help our church people with this matter, please send the funds to FBMI, our mission board (address is located below), and put “For Flood Relief” in the memo.
Also, please continue to pray that we will be able to go back to our mission field on December 25 without having to go through the heavy restrictions the Cambodian government has set up.
Thank you once more for your partnership with us in reaching Cambodians for Christ. God bless you.
For Christ’s sake,
Kounaro, Chorvy, Kimberlee, Priscilla, Christina, & Jonathan Keo
