Family
August has been an eventful month, to say the least. The biggest unpleasant surprise was that Misty had to have an emergency appendectomy. We are so thankful to have an out-of-state friend who is a surgeon. He encouraged her to head to the emergency room after an urgent-care doctor sent her home, but she has healed very well. God was very good to us!
Soul Winning
Wow! With the appendectomy, we were able to be back in Jacksonville, attending Coastline Baptist Church. I have been excited to visit on Camp Lejeune and invite young marines to church when I am in town. Four young men have been attending the last few weeks. Oh, how I miss the Military Ministry at Coastline Baptist!
A dear young family, who used to attend Coastline, has recently faced the horror of their seven-year-old daughter being diagnosed with a rare brain cancer. She has had two surgeries so far. They have been heavy on my heart this month. Please pray for the Sitorious family.
Travels
We were able to be with Pastor Johnston in Morehead City, North Carolina, this month. They are a great group of folks, and Pastor Johnston is such a great friend. Please pray for his family if God brings them to mind. His nine-year-old grandson Landen has been very sick. He has been diagnosed with a very rare dwarfism disease and has been in the hospital for months.
