This week we had our FBMI Candidate School; it is an annual event for brand-new missionaries, missionaries on deputation, and missionaries on furlough. I had the privilege of teaching six times during the week, some sessions on financial reporting and other lessons on deputation. We had 13 brand-new candidates this week, as well as many others who are on deputation and furlough.
At the beginning of June, our daughter Katie and I went to Italy to visit Bro. Chris and Amy Yetzer, who are FBMI missionaries in Milan. During that trip we got to pass out hundreds of John and Romans, as well as tracts. Bro. Yetzer also asked me to preach during a special Saturday night service, where I preached in English and Spanish. In that service we had people from Nigeria, Peru, Ecuador, and the Philippines. Then I got to preach again in English on Sunday, while Bro. Chris Yetzer translated the message into Italian.
Over the past two weeks, God has allowed me to give the Gospel to various people here in Northwest Indiana. A week and a half ago, I was able to talk to Angel in Spanish, who was originally from Puerto Rico, living in Boston, visiting in East Chicago, where he got saved. Then this past Saturday, I was able to watch Alejandro get saved in Spanish, as well as Jamira and Anaya in English. It never gets old getting the good news of the Gospel to others.
Please pray as I head to Tanzania from July 25 until August 5 for the Soccer Stadium Crusade with Missionary Jerry Wyatt III. The last two years, they have seen thousands of people attend, and last year over a thousand trusted Christ as Saviour during the halftime of the soccer game. We will let you know the results in our next prayer letter.
What a thrill to serve missionaries in Europe and Africa as their Field Service Coordinator!
Thank you for your love and prayers as we work in His field!
For His glory,
