Jared and Tiffany Stalnaker Prayer Letter: From Four to SixMerry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Stalnaker family! We hope you enjoyed a wonderful holiday season celebrating God’s gracious gift of His Son and the beginning of a brand-new year. Thank you to the churches and individuals who sent cards and special gifts to our family during the Christmas season. Your kindness and generosity have been truly humbling.

From Four to Six | the twins are here

We are happy to announce the arrival of our twin sons! Thatcher Wayne and Finley Reed were born on the evening of December 23. Although they arrived much earlier than expected at 30 weeks, we praise the Lord for His protection and perfect timing. The days leading up to their birth included several serious and frightening complications, but Tiffany and the boys are doing well. Tiffany is now home recovering, while Thatcher and Finley remain in the NICU. We are thankful to live just 10 minutes from the hospital, allowing us to visit them daily. It will be at least 4 weeks—likely longer—before either of them can come home. We are deeply grateful to the Lord for these precious gifts, for guiding Tiffany safely through their births, and for providing skilled and compassionate doctors and nurses.

Wrapping Up | recent deputation travels

In November, we were blessed to share our burden for Nicaragua with six churches, including three Missions Conferences. We are especially thankful for the kindness, generosity, and hospitality shown by the pastors and people of these churches. Our final meeting of the year was on November 30 at First Baptist Church of Albany Park.

Moving Forward | family and ministry

Since returning home, we have enjoyed spending time with both of our families during the holidays. We have also been able to reengage in the ministries of our home church—going soul winning, helping with Christmas activities, and starting and leading a new young couples’ Sunday school class. We have several deputation meetings scheduled for the coming year, most of which I will likely attend alone.

Please continue to pray for Tiffany as she recovers and our sons as they are in the NICU. We have already received several good reports about the boys and are encouraged by their current progress. Thank you for your prayers, support, and love for our family and the people of Nicaragua.

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” (Psalm 103:2)

Till next time,

The Stalnaker Family
