With 2025 drawing to a close, I look back and see many blessings which our Heavenly Father has bestowed upon us. We have now been here in the Philippines for two full years, and we have seen many people saved, come to church, get baptized, and start growing in the Lord. It is such a joy to see the spiritual growth of converts!
We left Luke and Titus in Indiana after getting them registered for college and then returned to the Philippines, jumping right back into serving the Lord here in Dumaguete, seeing many people come to Christ. Soon after our return, International Baptist Church held its annual Missions Conference, and we were able to host the Arizabal family, missionaries to the country of Norway. It was such a blessing to see the Lord move the hearts of the people in their missions pledges. In October, I taught the upperclassmen at the Bible college here. Then in November, Pastor Gordon Alley of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Greater Denver and some of his family visited the Philippines, and we were able to host them. (It is always great to see classmates from Bible college so long ago still serving the Lord faithfully wherever He has placed them. Our family has been able to go soul winning in Denver a few times, and it is a very needy place, with many of the people hardened against the Gospel.) Thanksgiving came and went, our first major holiday without our entire family present, and I am now beginning to understand how my parents must have felt as my siblings and I left home. Please continue in prayer for Luke and Titus in their Bible college studies there in Indiana.
During this time, our convert, Glenn Pilapil, who had suffered a severe head injury earlier this year, returned to Dumaguete, and I was finally able to baptize him! He has been faithfully attending church with his wife and two children, and they are growing in the Lord! We have also seen other families and teenagers becoming faithful to church and growing spiritually. Please pray that these will continue on for Christ. Over the last year, I have been able to assist Pastor Nelson Duran somewhat in his starting a new church in Dauin, a city about 45 minutes south of International Baptist Church. He just had his first Sunday service on December 21, and there were 46 in attendance! Please pray that God will bless his ministry and provide for the many financial needs involved in starting a new church. We have also been using our 8-passenger van to pick up people who want to attend church, and recently, we have been putting 16 or more people in it! Please pray that the Lord will provide a larger vehicle if this attendance continues.
Thank you again for all of your faithful prayers and support! We love you! Below are a few pictures of folks we had the joy of leading to Christ during this time. Don’t forget to check out our webpage at https://fbmi.org/missionary/williamsd for many, many extra pictures!
Sincerely,
R. Daniel Williams
