SMITE
We are so thankful for the impact of SMITE, a weeklong camp designed to give our teenagers intensive training on how to lead Bible Clubs and clearly witness to children. Each morning, the teens attended training sessions, and each afternoon, they were sent out into different areas to put into practice what they learned by actively helping in Bible Clubs. This year, 40 of our teenagers enrolled in SMITE, and throughout the week, nearly 600 children attended the evening Bible Clubs. We also saw 207 children trust Christ throughout the week. We are especially grateful for Bro. Mark Holmes and his daughter Victoria for coming to assist, along with Pastor Adawela, who traveled from Nigeria to be a part of this ministry.
Vision Clinic
We are praising the Lord for an incredible Vision Outreach in which around 2,000 people came to the church property to receive glasses, medication, or a vision checkup. Through our partnership with MMO, people were offered free vision care, and each individual was personally witnessed to by a member of our church. By God’s grace, more than 900 people trusted Christ during this outreach, not only receiving clearer physical sight but also gaining spiritual sight for eternity.
Insurance Sunday
The Sunday following the medical clinic, we held what we call “Insurance Sunday,” where we drew names for 20 families to receive medical insurance coverage for an entire year. The selected families were required to return for several consecutive weeks to complete the sign-up process, which allowed us to build relationships and continue ministering to them. We are encouraged to see lasting fruit from these outreaches, as we continue to follow up on those who attended.
Faithful Helpers
We are very thankful for Dave and Rebecca Robbs, who came from our home church to fill in while the Morrows returned to the States for a brief visit. The Robbs sacrificially came with their three young children to help in many areas of the ministry and were a tremendous blessing through their involvement in Bible Clubs, English Sunday school classes, and various other needs. Though they have not been called into full-time ministry, they willingly did what they could, and their servant hearts made a significant impact on the work here. We were also grateful to celebrate Thanksgiving together with them, and it was a truly wonderful time of fellowship and gratitude.
Looking Back, Moving Forward
As we look back on the past year, our hearts are full of gratitude for all that the Lord has done. We thank God for His faithfulness, His provision, and the fruit we were able to see through the ministry. As we step into a new year, we look forward with anticipation to continuing to serve Him here in Tanzania, trusting Him to do even greater things for His glory.
