Well, there is really not a lot of anything exciting to write about for these two months. It can all be summed up in three words: work, work, work.
I spent the first part of February preparing for the Burundi trip – getting wires and machines together and also fixing the truck again. Then we spent 30 days in Burundi finishing up what we could on the radio station. I spent the last half of March back in Uganda preparing for our trip to the USA. That is it.
But we are rejoicing that we got solar panels installed to guarantee the radio station will be on all during the daytime. Now we need to buy some new batteries to allow it to run during the nighttime. I bought new batteries three months ago, but they are already dead! Obviously, they were used, but they were cleaned up and boxed up to look new. Aggh! So, I will have to buy some quality batteries in Uganda from a source I really trust when I go back in November.
We also got the on-air desk set up with computers, microphones, mixing board, and other machines. Everyone is so happy that they can now speak and preach live on the radio, and so many people have been sending in messages to say they love the new radio station.
We will be in the USA on furlough from April 11 until October 13. We are really looking forward to seeing many of you again. Thank you so much for your prayers and support.
