We are excited to report that since our last prayer letter, our attendance has really grown. Families are faithfully attending church every week. We have had 47 visitors in church since the beginning of the year, with 37 salvation decisions and 2 baptised. We also look forward to helping the new families get planted in the church. It is great to have children in church. I do not mind a fussy baby—I would rather have one than not! King’s Kids Club will be restarting soon, with an added emphasis on literacy. Thank you for the prayer that comes our way and for your faithful monetary support. This is a ministry that takes years to build momentum, and the momentum is building! Amen.
Special Sundays
We have had many special activities and Sundays recently, including our Coronation Big Lunch to celebrate King Charles III. May this nation be truly “Christian” in many hearts and lives. God is good! Folks are testifying of God working in their lives, and new salvation decisions are made every week. We do not have to go far to find people who will listen to the Gospel. Opportunities abound, especially in nursing homes and hospital visitation.
An Exciting Future
The face of our church is changing. For many years, most of our church was elderly, but now young families are coming. As the demographics for Preston change, we now have folks from Africa, Pakistan, Egypt, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Zimbabwe, and India. It reminds us of the 11½ years we spent in London! I will be traveling to India in June with a young church family. This should be a great opportunity to reach new people and to be used of God in a needy place. As there is a strong connection between Britain and India, perhaps there will be opportunities that might prove difficult for other missionaries. Praise the Lord! Your prayers for health, safety, and wisdom for June’s trip are vital.
Family News
Through trials, we become stronger for our Lord, and our family relationships are stronger as we support and encourage each other through the storms of life. Difficulties are just that – difficult, but with God, all things are possible! We rejoice in His hand of grace, mercy, protection, and provision for each member of the Solt family. The Solt Team continues to gain strength from God. What a wonderful God we serve!
Dan and Rachel reached the 25% mark on their missionary support. Thanks to all who have added them to their missions program. Please pray for their upcoming time in England this July to help run our Vacation Bible School. We are both beyond happy that we get to see Ruby again, as it will have been over a year since we last saw her! Since they intend to transport many of their belongings during this trip, please consider helping with their costs via their information below. Josh is challenging himself with learning new job skills in Iowa. We are excited to know that he seeks to follow His Saviour through thick and thin! Jeremy has done well in his courses at Hyles-Anderson, and he will remain there for the summer with work, the bus ministry, and Sunday school.
May God be glorified in and through the efforts of the Solt family. May our supporters be encouraged and blessed!
Yours for souls,
The Solt Family
