Thank you for your prayers. The Lord has done some great things the past two months. We started the Tuesday night soul-winning group again in January. The first Tuesday night, we had 7 soul winners in attendance. The next week we had carne asada (a favorite Mexican meal), and the Lord gave us 36 soul winners. We have averaged around 32 soul winners every week since, except one week when the weather was extremely bad. Many souls have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour through our Tuesday night soul-winning group.
The Lord has put some messages on my heart for the kids in our children’s home, and it seems like the Lord has been meeting with us in the chapels. The Lord has also put a series on my heart entitled “Overcoming a Difficult Childhood.” It comes from a book given to me at a conference, and it is full of biblical principles that should help our kids enormously. Please pray for me as I translate and give these lessons and for the Lord to work in their lives.
I would also like to ask prayer for a 14-year-old young lady named Mayra. She has been in our children’s home for about a year and has made great progress in the Christian life. The Social Services here wanted to take her out of our home. She began to cry. She knows she needs to be in our home so she can obey the Word of God and follow the Lord with her life. Pastor Murillo and our attorney obtained a temporary injunction from a judge for her to stay in our home with a full court case pending. Please pray for us and for the Lord to bring a great victory. Please pray also for Armando and Jessica with a similar situation.
The new church in San Agustin continues to grow in spite of space limitations. Three new families have been added to the church. Please pray for Carlos Hernandez as he leads the church in San Agustin. The new church in Tizapan has had some good growth recently, as we moved Rodrigo Gutierrez there. Please pray for Rodrigo. Please pray for permanent pastors for these two church plants. There has been some good progress to that end.
There has been good progress as far as a vehicle is concerned. Please pray for the Lord to make His will clear and provisions out of the abundance of His grace.
Again, thank you very much for your prayers and support. It is a great privilege and honor to serve here in such a needy part of Mexico.
Yours for souls,
Chris Sage
