Soul Winning
One of the things I love most about serving the Lord here in Ghana is having the opportunity to witness to people who are open to the Gospel! Another thing I love is being able to teach and train others to be soul winners!
At our Bible college in June and July, I was able to teach the class “How to Win a Soul to Christ,” Parts 1 and 2. It was such a blessing to have new students in class who were eager to learn how to preach the Gospel effectively. In July, we divided all the students into small groups, with each group led by a trained soul winner, and they were able to practice preaching the Gospel. What a great week it was!
I encouraged our new students to go soul winning with an experienced soul winner so they could learn from him. A new student named Godfred came out soul winning with me the Saturday after our class in June was completed. We were able to meet a man named Daniel, who was open to the Gospel. As I preached the Gospel to Daniel, I could see the excitement on Godfred’s face as he saw that what he learned in class truly works. Daniel trusted Christ as his Saviour that day! Afterwards Godfred told me that he was confident that he, too, could preach the Gospel! Godfred came to our Bible college class again in July. Please pray that Godfred will become an effective preacher of the Gospel.
The following Saturday after Daniel trusted Christ, I visited him in his home and was able to do a Bible study with him on eternal security. As we were preparing to leave, I met Elizabeth, who has been living with Daniel for four years. I told Daniel I would like to preach to her sometime, and he told me he would like me to preach to her the next week. The following week I was able to lead Elizabeth to Christ!
Both Daniel and Elizabeth have been to church several times and have started doing our church’s discipleship curriculum. Daniel also has a desire to start preaching the Gospel to others! Please pray for them to grow and to join our church.
Pastors’ and Workers’ Conference
We are preparing for our 11th Annual Pastors’ and Workers’ Conference, which will be held August 15–18. Our theme is “Once Saved, Always Saved!” There are not many churches here that preach the doctrine of eternal security. Please pray that God will use this conference to help Kumasi, Ghana, and West Africa to be filled with the TRUE GOSPEL. We have already pre-registered 250 more delegates than last year! We covet your prayers for God to bless this very important conference.
God bless,
Charles, Lindsey, and Josiah Osgood
