I hope that you all had a fantastic Easter! It’s always such a wonderful reminder that, despite all that might be going on in our world, Jesus Christ is still victorious. “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
We’ve heard a lot of good reports from our friends and supporting churches of baptisms, returning church members, and other great things that happened on Easter. It’s always great to hear such encouragement from our churches. As you can tell, Emma certainly enjoyed dressing up for Easter Sunday.
When last we wrote to you, we were still on the West Coast. We have made our way from the West, with some meetings in Colorado and Nebraska along the way. We are now writing to you from the Midwest, where we will be for the next couple of months. Thank you to everyone who prayed for our safety as we traveled across the country.
We have some exciting news! With all the churches that voted to support us in the past couple of months, we have officially reached 51% of our support! This is such an exciting benchmark for us. Throughout the past month or so, God has continually reminded us that He is the One in control, and He is the One raising our support. In the past couple of months, several churches have contacted us, letting us know they will be partnering with us in spreading the Gospel across Nigeria. Most of these churches were in situations where, quite honestly, I wasn’t sure they would be able to support us at all, yet God divinely worked it out for us to partner with these churches. Add to this that when we started deputation about a year ago, we almost immediately had to take a three-month break due to COVID. Despite all that, we are still over the 50% hump. What can we say except, To God be the glory! We thank God for His goodness, and we thank Him for so many of you who regularly pray for us and support us.
That all the world may know,
Caleb Christiansen
