What a sight to see . . .
This July, my family and I had the opportunity to represent Team Peru in Arequipa. I had the opportunity to preach to adults only and two Sunday services during our weekend visit. It was a great turnout. We spoke on rearing teenagers/children and harmony in the household. It was a sweet gathering, with many decisions made. We also had the opportunity to try new meals and make new friendships.
IBI Chorrillos celebrated their 6th anniversary last week. They finished construction on their beautiful new building just in time for the conference. They invited Pastor Andres Gomez to preach, and there was a great turnout. What a sight to see—the new building, the souls that were witnessed to, and the decisions that were made.
To be continued . . .
The following announcement comes with a heavy heart, as I have sincerely enjoyed my time with FBMI Team Peru. After much counsel and prayer, my family and I will be returning to the States this coming August. My main goal is to take care of some health issues.
With the team’s guidance and mentorship, my responsibilities here have been one of the most rewarding work experiences of my life. I will greatly miss my teammates and friends made in our church plants. All this was possible due to the unique culture of each church plant and team member. I am deeply appreciative of the numerous opportunities to build skills in numerous areas. I feel better prepared to face whatever the next position God may have for me. My desires are to be involved in whatever ministry God may have for us at FBC Hammond. I look forward to reconnecting in the future.
Please let me know how I can be of assistance during the transition period. I wish you, your ministries, and your families the very best going forward and pray that God will continue to use you for His glory. Please know that none of what has transpired in the last six years would have been possible without your love, prayer, and financial support. We know that what you gave on our behalf was given sacrificially. Your giving has not been in vain. We love you all.
