Thank you, dear friends, for your prayers. We are doing well. Praise the Lord! Please pray for our health and safety. Because of the lack of medication here, people are dying. We got all our medication from Mexico through my brother-in-law and some from the U.S. Some people from our church are getting their medications from Mexico, Colombia, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Regarding our safety, we moved our Wednesday services to 3:00 p.m. and also our Sunday night services to 3:00 p.m. because public transportation starts getting robbed around 6:00 p.m.
Our church is doing well. We thought we were finished with the construction of the church—until we got robbed. The thieves climbed a wall that had a wire mesh across the top; they cut the wire and got in. They also tried to get downstairs, but they could not open the security door. So we added five layers of block and iron bars on the top to reinforce the security. But two weeks later, they tried to make a hole through the wall of the second floor. Our neighbor called the police at 1:00 a.m. The lady from next door told me all about all the noise they were making. They made a small hole in the nursery, so I asked the men of the church to take turns sleeping in the church until everything was secured. We had to rebuild the whole wall 20 meters long by 3 meters high with cement blocks and filled the holes with cement in order to make it stronger. So far so good—so keep praying for us.
Please pray for the situation in Venezuela. It is getting worse. The president was given a new raise of 60%. Companies are closing, and some others are laying off employees, causing more needs. Crime is going up, and the lack of food is increasing. Corn is the most wanted food in Venezuela, because it is the cheapest food you can buy so far.
The church saw 445 souls saved and 2 baptized in the last 4 months. Amen!
