Andres Amoros Prayer Letter: Missionary Conference

With all my heart, I would like to wish that the Lord would pour out His abundant blessings on each one of you, even in the midst of this time of crisis that the earth is experiencing due to COVID-19.

When starting this accustomed report of the work we are doing on the mission field, it is always good to do it with good news, but this time I must inform you of the death of my dear mother, Catalina de Amorós, due to COVID-19. I still have the blessed hope, which we as true Christians have, to see her again soon. My mother was the first person to accept the Lord as her Saviour in the first church I planted in Brooklyn, New York, in 1985. I give glory to God, who helped me to be the instrument for my parents to be saved. “Absent from the body, present with the Lord.”

Thirty Souls Saved During Our Missionary Conference

We started the month of January as a church, praying and asking the Lord for guidance and wisdom to know if it was His will to hold our annual Missionary Conference for pastors, missionaries, and church leaders. I really did not know whether to have it or not due to the danger of the pandemic. After praying for a month, we decided to have it. The Lord confirmed His will, even though we only had it with our local church.

Thirty people received the Lord as their Saviour during the conference! The Lord greatly glorified Himself, and the Holy Spirit manifested His power through the preaching of the Gospel. The brethren prayed and worked hard to bring visitors, and God blessed our efforts. Several new converts pledged to support our missionary program.

Vaccination Plan to Face COVID-19

The government started a vaccination plan to help stop the number of people being infected with the virus, but the majority of the people are very scared of it due to the lack of information on the vaccine, which came from China. Please pray for our church as we try to do our best to stay healthy and reach souls with the Gospel.

Regarding the Church Property

Regarding the property that we want to buy for the church, we continue to work and give sacrificially as a church; that is why we have $50,000.00 for the temple. The property owners accepted the offer we made, and now we only need an additional $100,000.00 and not $150,000.00, as before. Please keep praying for us, as we are praying for the Lord to provide us with $40,000.00 so that we can request a loan from the bank for the remaining $60,000.00. This year we must buy the property before someone else buys it or increases the price of the property.

We thank each of you for your great love, faithfulness, and compassion on behalf of lost souls.

Prayer Requests

1. That those saved during the conference would endure and grow in the Lord
2. For wisdom to shepherd the church in the pandemic
3. For virus protection
4. For the provision of the finances needed to purchase the property for the church

De todo corazón deseo que el Señor, este derramando sus abundantes bendiciones sobre cada uno de ustedes; aún en medio de este tiempo de crisis que la tierra está experimentando debido al Covid-19.

Al empezar este reporte acostumbrado del trabajo que estamos haciendo en el campo misionero siempre es bueno hacerlo con una buena noticia, pero esta vez debo comunicarle la muerte de mi querida madre Catalina de Amorós, debido al Covid-19, me queda la esperanza que tenemos los verdaderos cristianos, de volver pronto a verla. Mi madre fue la primera persona que acepto al Señor como su salvador, cuando empezamos la iglesia en Brooklyn, NY en el año 1985. Doy gloria a Dios que me ayudo a ser el instrumento para que mis padres fueran salvos. “Ausentes del cuerpo, presentes al Señor.”

Treinta Almas Salvas Durante Nuestra Conferencia Misionera

Empezamos el mes de Enero orando como iglesia y pidiendo al Señor, guianza y sabiduría para saber si era su voluntad tener nuestra conferencia misionera anual para Pastores, Misioneros y líderes de las iglesias, en verdad no sabía si tenerla o no debido al peligro de la pandemia, después de orar por un mes decidimos tenerla y el Señor confirmo su voluntad aunque la tuvimos solo con nuestra iglesia local. Treinta personas recibieron al Señor como su salvador durante la conferencia.

El Señor se glorificó grandemente, el Espíritu Santo manifestó su poder a través de la palabra predicada. Los Hermanos trabajaron y oraron para traer visitantes, y Dios bendijo nuestro esfuerzo, y varios nuevos se comprometieron en apoyar nuestro programa misionero.

Plan de Vacunación

El gobierno puso en marcha un programa de vacunación, para ayudar a frenar la cantidad de personas infectadas con el virus, pero el pueblo Dominicano está muy asustado por la falta de información de la vacuna que vino de China. Por favor orar por nuestra iglesia mientras tratamos de hacer nuestro mejor esfuerzo para mantenernos saludables y alcanzar a las almas con el evangelio.

Respecto a la Propiedad de la Iglesia

En relación a la propiedad que queremos comprar para la iglesia, seguimos trabajando y ofrendando sacrificialmente como iglesia, es por eso que tenemos $50,000.00 pro-templo. Los dueños de la propiedad aceptaron la oferta que hicimos y ahora solo necesitamos $100,000.00 y no $150,000.00 como antes. Favor de seguir orando por nosotros pues estamos orando para que el Señor nos provea $40,000.00 para solicitar un préstamo al banco por $60,000.00 dólares restantes. Este año debemos comprar antes que otro compre o aumenten el precio del inmueble.

Damos gracias a cada uno de ustedes por su gran amor, fidelidad, y compasión a favor de las almas perdidas.

Peticiones de Oración

1. Los salvos durante la Conferencia, que perduren y crezcan en el Señor
2. Sabiduría para pastorear la iglesia, en la pandemia
3. Protección del virus
4. Provisión de las finanzas, para comprar la propiedad para la iglesia
