“Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.” (II Corinthians 9:15)
We are still thanking God for what He allows us to see in Esmeraldas, Ecuador; the place in which we serve our Saviour until today and by His grace. Since the last time we wrote to you until today, we have been able to see 156 come to Christ as a church, and as a family we were able to see 67 precious souls saved. In addition, we inform you that now as a young church, we are glad to financially support 11 missionary families. During all this time, we have been having different activities with evangelistic purposes, and we have seen the hand of God moving and using us to reach more people with the Gospel.
In the month of April, we organized our annual Vacation Bible School in three different areas where we have taken the Gospel: the south side of Esmeraldas, downtown Esmeraldas, and Tonsupa. Even though the whole week was a very busy week for us and we were very tired, we saw many kids and parents come to Christ.
The month of May was very fruitful for us. As a church, we had our annual Spring Program, where we focused on having a lot of visitors come to church, especially on Mother’s Day. We averaged 140 people during the whole month, and our highest attendance was 162. We also had an outdoor activity to the river to celebrate our second church anniversary with most of our new converts.
And lastly, we appreciate these men of God who have visited our congregation: Wilder Rojas, missionary in Peru; Sixto Salcedo, missionary in Quito, Ecuador; Carlos Cahuich, evangelist in Mexico; and Danny Ortiz and his precious wife, who serve the Lord in Lewisville, Texas. Please help us pray together. This month we want to have at least 40 different converts get baptized. To God be the glory, honor, and praise.
