Our travels in the States are going well. We thank God for the open doors He has given us to minister. We were in the Hammond, Indiana, area for two weeks as we were helping James get settled into Bible college. Pastor John Wilkerson gave me the opportunity to teach on leadership in two different venues. I enjoyed that very much.
Now Elizabeth, Rachel, Grace, Michael, and I have traveled to the Southwest to spend some time with Elizabeth’s family and to visit some supporting churches. I was able to preach this past Sunday in two churches pastored by my former students from when I taught at Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point, Indiana. What a blessing! I was excited to lead someone to Christ after both messages. Kevin from Kenya is pictured with me on the right.
Meanwhile in Kumasi
This month, our church in Ghana is having its “Visitor-Emphasis Month.” In this program, recent visitors are encouraged to attend Sunday school at least three of the four weeks, attend an evening service, and complete a workbook that includes the plan of salvation. With this program, we hope our visitors become grounded in the faith and decide to make our church their church.
Christian Sokpui is my convert who started attending our church as a result of our TV program. He brought a visitor named Douglas Boateng (in yellow) on September 5, who is now participating in our “Visitor-Emphasis Month.” My son James’ convert Gifty and her family are working to complete the visitor program as well.
Fundamental Baptist Church of Kunsu
Our June update was about the Fundamental Baptist Church of Kunsu, whose pastor, James Adjabeng, passed away unexpectedly. Our graduate, Otchere Boachie, is now the interim pastor. The church is averaging in the 40s on Sunday mornings. Amazingly, they brought 18 members to our conference last month. They have also baptized 11 converts in recent weeks. Keep praying for this church.
Prayer Requests
Would you pray for God to bless the outreach of our church? Also, please pray that we will not be hindered in our return to Ghana in October. We will have several COVID tests to take in order to travel. Our team family of the month is the Baraka Hall family. Please pray for them and the Hope Fundamental Baptist Church for the Deaf. You may read more about their ministry here: http://www.fbmi.org/missionary/hall#updates. Thank you for praying!
Yours for souls,
