I am ever amazed at God’s goodness and working through the ministry here in Dumaguete City. At the end of July, we married another staff couple, Theo Amante and Jeciel Anasario. I am humbled by their testimony in how they honored their Saviour, church, and family in the way they dated one another and came pure to the wedding altar. What a great example and testimony they are to the generation watching them. I am also amazed at the testimony another of our staff couple exhibited in the loss of their baby girl a day after being taken by emergency cesarean section at only 27 weeks. Thank God for the church, which is here to comfort one another during these times.
Our FM station, as well as our radio app, have continued to be a tremendous blessing to our church, and I am excited about the seed of the Word of God being planted in a large portion of our island, as well as in neighboring islands. I’ve been able to take our app and share it with other stations, as well as help get some new online stations started.
I was with Bro. Layne Jones in Northern Samar at the beginning of September to speak at their Pastors’ and Workers’ Conference. While there, I was able to set up the radio app to work with their existing station.
We were also able to help one of our missionaries in Cambodia to get set up with the app. I will be helping him to establish an online station to minister to people there.
In October, Theo Amante and I were part of the Radio Workshop in Iloilo for the 43rd Annual Pastors’ and Workers’ Conference at Iloilo Baptist Church, and we helped set up four new online stations for churches desiring to have FM stations in the future. Please pray for these as they learn the ropes of operating a station and reaching people through this exciting medium.
If you are interested in having an online radio station with an app for your ministry, please contact me. You’re invited to see our app and hear our station at https://ibcd.theanchor.app.
At this year’s Missions Conference at International Baptist Church, I announced that one of our Bible college graduates would be starting a church in Dauin, a town about 30 minutes south of us. Nelson Duran has already been soul winning daily and has started conducting Bible studies with several families. Please pray as he and other men from our church work to train soul winners there to help establish this new church. We are praying about other cities in Negros Oriental that also need churches. Please pray for this work.
As the end of this year is quickly coming, I want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, if the Lord tarries. We are grateful for the fruit we are seeing in our ministry and are praying for you and your ministries to thrive. Thank you for your faithfulness.
We are grateful for all God has done through us in 2024 and look forward with great anticipation to what He has in store for 2025. Year to date, our ministry has recorded more than 5,300 souls saved through personal soul winning, 625 public professions of faith in our services, and 250 converts baptized. I am so glad my family and I get to have a part in reaching this place and beyond with the Gospel.
I will be back for a short visit in May for my son’s graduation from Hyles-Anderson College and to visit a few churches. I am also contemplating a second trip back this year to visit more churches possibly in July or August. If you’re interested in having me come to present our ministry, please contact me soon.
That all the world may know,
