I Timothy 1:12 says, “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.” I pray you are doing well when you receive this prayer letter. My family and I are doing well, and we thank you for having a part in this ministry. I am truly encouraged at what the Lord continues to do here in Puerto Rico. The Bible verse above is what I would call my ministry verse. I’m so thankful that this month we celebrate the honor of serving the Lord here in Puerto Rico for 23 years. It really does seem like yesterday that we came here.
I’m especially grateful for all those that have been saved and baptized through the years. I think of Nydia Gonzalez, who started coming to our church during COVID and was saved, baptized, and discipled and is now serving in our ministry. She just continues to grow in the Lord.
Recently, there was a very terrible car accident right in front of our church. Even though it was late at night, I went out to see what had happened. To my surprise, there was a bloody man by the name of Christian trapped in his car and fighting for his life. The emergency team arrived, and I was able to help them as they cut out the doors from the vehicle in order to get Christian out of the car. They put Christian on a stretcher as we waited for the ambulance to arrive. During that time, I was able to approach Christian and mentioned to him that God had miraculously kept him alive and saved his life, to which he agreed. I immediately asked him if he would’ve died in the accident, did he know if he would go to Heaven. He did not know, so I was able to witness to him. To my surprise, the paramedics and those around were all listening and attentive as Christian put his hands on my hands and asked Jesus to save him. Please pray for Christian as he continues to undergo surgeries and as I continue to follow up on him.
