December has been very busy. My helper Kenneth and I have been traveling and working on many different projects. We spent a week and a half getting things ready for Youth Camp in the West. We fixed and welded beds and installed a water tank, along with a real shower system for the girls. I am sure the boys will be jealous because they will still have to use buckets to shower with.
The real blessing was working with the Christians of the church to get everything done, and they got to see a missionary loving them and the church enough to break a sweat with them. We sang and prayed before work every morning, and it produced a really sweet spirit in the place. I am thankful a lady in the church who owns a nice restaurant provided our meals each day. I also left enough cement and bricks for them to build some ovens for the church kitchen.
We then delivered a 2,500-gallon water tank to a church in the North to help them with their conferences. I was supposed to preach there also, but I had to get down to Burundi quickly to fix the radio station.
In Burundi, we found that lightning had damaged the transmitter and a Furman power filter. First, we installed more lightning protection, and then we put in the backup transmitter that we still had from Rwanda. During our furlough, both of the computers running the radio station died, so we fixed one by changing the hard drive and then gave them two others. They now have three iMacs and a radio station working very well. It really is a great tool to get out the Gospel.
Thank you for your prayers and support.
