Thank you, everyone, for praying for the missionaries in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
The Earthquake
Thankfully, we did not experience any shaking here in Hua Hin from the recent earthquake. However, church members who live just 30 to 40 minutes north of us did feel the shaking, but thankfully, with no damage. Please pray for the families involved in the quakes, mainly in Burma and also, to a much smaller degree, Bangkok, which is about three hours north of us.
New Missionary Family Arrived Safely
We are excited and thankful for Bro. Matthew Bosje and family arriving safely the morning of March 27. We picked up Bro. Matt, Mrs. Katie Belle, and little Mikey around noon that day and drove to Hua Hin, which took around four hours with a stop to two. We thank the Lord all of this happened almost exactly one day before the earthquake shook Bangkok and closed down many areas of the city. The airport, public transportation, and some main thoroughfares were closed. Again, we ask for your prayers, especially for the families involved with the one building which collapsed on the north side of Bangkok and the missionaries and families affected in Burma. Also, please pray for the Matt Bosje family as they settle in. We are all so very glad to have this new, faithful, encouraging, Godly family here serving the people of Thailand. God is amazing!
IBC-Nong Phlap
Both churches look forward to our upcoming Resurrection Sunday on April 20. The Nong Phlap church is having fantastic Sunday services, along with Wednesday night attendances exceeding 60 in attendance. Attendances continue to range between 120 and 150 each Sunday. March 2025 – 44 salvations.
IBC-Hua Hin
Our attendance reached 76 last Sunday, with first-time visitors. The services have had a sweet spirit, and people are staying longer afterwards to talk, counsel, and fellowship. We have many faithful people who love the Lord and come to grow in God’s Word and God’s directives. March 2025 – 23 salvations.
Discipleship Focus
A new program has begun involving men and families we are training for the ministry. About every two weeks, seven of us men will thoroughly study with and then take turns at discipling a group that is looking to grow and increase their efforts for the Lord. This experience allows some of our men to practice teaching to groups behind the pulpit. Those attending, teenagers and families, also learn the truths and see the hearts of the men teaching. The program is not a competition; rather, everyone encourages one another in the Lord as they teach, listen, and learn the truths. As time goes on and as more prepare, more teachers or disciplers will be added into the rotation. The first hour every Sunday morning is centered on discipling the adults and teenagers at the church. Bible verses are memorized, with a deep focus on each topic and truth.
Soccer Ministry
Soccer is somewhat the king of sports here. Many of our young men play and know many others who play. Every Sunday afternoon, we have been playing. The level of competitiveness is high, but kind. Recently, 6 souls on 2 different outings heard the Gospel and were sweetly saved. This program has great potential to see souls saved and new folks coming to church. It also keeps an older guy like me pointed towards fitness.
Soul Winning
Thank you for praying for souls to be saved here. We are just the messengers; God does all the work. We see God answering prayers, so we thank you for praying. We had a soul-winning outing last week that was just marvelously all the Lord. Pong and I traveled west to Nong Phlap in 2 pickup trucks with 12 prayed-up soul winners. Upon arrival, we led a woman named Zinzayeh, age 20, to the Lord. Her husband was already saved and in church, but now they are both born-again Christians. While this was happening, Pong took a group of our young men to a nearby soccer field where several kids were playing. After playing soccer for a little bit, everyone took a break, and the Gospel was clearly given to 15 young people who decided that Jesus was their hope for eternity. A short time later, while these salvations were taking place, the rest of us witnessed to different workers in a small apartment area. One of the 6 workers was a lady named Sign, age 27. Upon salvation, she was so happy and was hoping her husband would return home from work soon so he could hear the Gospel. Just a few minutes later, Sign’s husband Ethoo arrived. He was open to hearing the truths of the Gospel and wholeheartedly chose to believe and be saved. Sign and Ethoo were so happy. Nong New, a teenager, led his first soul to the Lord that night! He said his heart was racing so fast, but he just could not stop smiling. I felt like God touched the community that evening. The group saw 21 souls saved, while the Hua Hin group, 30 minutes away, saw 10 precious souls saved, 31 in total for the evening. Please pray for these, as many are pictured in the link below. Thank you for all you do for missions and furthering the Gospel here in Southeast Asia.
