Daniel and Mary-Ann Williams Prayer Letter: Our First Year in the Philippines!Happy New Year to all! I want to thank all of you so much for your prayers! We have definitely needed them here in the Philippines. God has been blessing, but Satan is fighting, so please continue in prayer for us as we serve our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Thank you also to all of our faithful supporters. Your sacrifice is greatly appreciated. Know that there are eternal rewards in Heaven as we are able to see people come to Christ, follow the Lord in believer’s baptism, and work with discipling them. We “desire fruit that may abound to your account.”

We have now finished a full year here in the Philippines, and I do feel that we are now mostly adjusted to life here, although the flesh still desires the (relative) ease of life in America. We praise the Lord for all that He has done! Since our last letter, our family has personally seen over 50 souls come to saving faith in Jesus Christ! This brings the total to 308 souls our family has personally been able to lead to Christ since we arrived here 13 months ago. Also, Hannah led her first soul to Jesus Christ! This was an elementary-aged girl named Natalie; she had already been coming to church for several months but had just not chosen to trust Christ as Saviour yet. Hannah and her soul-winning partner visited Natalie’s home on Saturday, and while they were there, Hannah was able to show her from the Bible how she could be saved! Our children have been faithful on their church routes, visiting, witnessing, discipling, and encouraging other teenagers and families; and Mary-Ann and I have really seen them immerse themselves in this work for Christ. This greatly warms our hearts, and I highly encourage those of you with teenaged children to allow them to be involved in church ministry service as allowed.

This past year, I was able to teach several classes at Hyles-Anderson College of the Philippines, a ministry of International Baptist Church of Dumaguete City under the leadership of Pastor Randy DeMoville, and I will be teaching several more classes this year. It is such a blessing to have the privilege to work with these young adults who have such a desire to serve Christ with their lives! Please pray that I will have wisdom to both teach and live up to this great responsibility.

It was an encouragement to us for my 76-year-old parents to visit us for Thanksgiving and get to participate in church soul winning. My mother was even able to lead someone to Christ! My father and sons and I participated in a Men’s Breakfast, where we were able to hear what the Lord has been doing with our new church plant in progress in Dauin, a nearby city of around 30,000. I have been able to go visiting there with Bro. Duran several times. Please pray that the Lord will bless him as he begins this new ministry!

Thank you again for all of your love and faithfulness to Christ!
