During the pandemic, our trips were canceled due to national and international travel bans. We have wonderful news—by God’s grace, we’re traveling again!
Local Travel
Knocking doors and passing out tracts continues, and God faithfully grants opportunities to share the Gospel. Lana can also visit more freely the special-needs children and their families now. Souls have been won, and we’ve seen growth that only God could accomplish. Praising Him!
National Travel
The spring semester at Hyles-Anderson College finished with graduation on April 30. A great group of young people graduated and scattered, prepared to serve God worldwide and with the Spirit-filled purpose to do so. Please pray for those yet to graduate to return in the fall.
I’ve just returned from a trip with Bro. Belisle (FBMI’s Western Hemisphere Field Service Coordinator) to see and to serve the Baker (Haiti) and Nuñez (Venezuela) families, godly missionaries temporarily back in the U.S. after very trying times. God granted journey mercies and very productive meetings, and we’re now doing the follow-up work. It’s always a blessing to see God step in to do what would be humanly impossible. You’ve prayed for the Bakers, and their health is recovering. Thank you for these prayers.
International Travel
Missionary Mark Rader has invited me to join him and a visiting church group to serve in the Upper Amazon Region of Peru. Years ago, I was privileged to serve another evangelistic team on the Brazil side further downriver. The goal was to reach new villages, and God blessed, opening doors and sending a Brazilian missionary to further the pioneer work to those who’d never heard.
Back to the present, we’ve purchased tickets, and much preparatory work has been done. Especially in these challenging days for international travel, it’s encouraging to see Spirit-led churches step out by faith to send groups to reach the lost in such needy areas.
In this region, one can only travel by air or by boat. There are no roads. Lord willing and enabling, we’ll be flying from Lima to Iquitos, before traveling by boat to a local church in Nauta. From there, we’ll focus our efforts to reach as many villages as possible. The team plans to do construction, medical, and evangelistic work, all to support soul-winning and church-planting efforts now in motion. You’ve enabled us to help purchase the supplies in order to give each family and pastor that attends the conference a first aid kit. We’ll also have classes targeting the most important health needs. We do need your prayers, as only the Lord knows what is truly needed, and we need His direction. Reports say that there’s been flooding recently in this region, which always leads to outbreaks of disease.
Please pray for the Peru trip, which will be the 19th to the 28th of June:
1. That the Lord’s will would be done and that the trip might take place despite the pandemic
2. For journey mercies, especially as we deal with the ever-changing travel requirements
3. For divine protection and the guidance of the Spirit for all concerned
4. For souls to be saved and for hardened hearts to be softened
Rejoicing to serve the King of kings and Lord of lords with you,
Dan and Lana Siemer
