Merry Christmas to you from Devonport, Tasmania! Oh, what a good year 2016 has been in terms of souls reached with the Gospel, growth in the church, and decisions made amongst believers in response to Gospel preaching, not to forget the 2 baptisms witnessed in the early part of the year. When reflecting upon the events of the year, we are encouraged by what the Lord is doing here.
The month of November found Laura and me on a short furlough in the States. I spoke in three churches; after the morning service at a church in Illinois, a lady came forward for salvation. We visited Laura’s family for several days and also used this visit as an opportunity to get some needed medical help.
While we were away, a young Chinese man began attending. He has been coming faithfully for several weeks now, and he is bringing other visitors with him. They are all here on a working holiday, picking broccoli on a local farm. We have been praying for opportunities to reach the many seasonal workers in our area, most of whom come from overseas.
Prayer Requests
1. That Cassandra will get saved
2. That we will see more souls saved and baptized, including Nichole and her son Thomas
3. That more people will get involved in church-wide soul winning
4. That visitors who have come to Coastline Baptist Church will simply decide to stay
May this Christmas be a special time for you all. Thank you again for believing in the ministry to which the Lord has called me here in far-flung Tasmania.
Sincerely yours, in the service of the King and all for His glory,
Brother Andrew L. Steers
