Paul received great joy from seeing and hearing about the steadfastness of those whom he had trained.
“The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” (III John 1-4)
Nothing in the ministry gives me more joy than helping to train leaders to do the work of the ministry. It is our prayer and hope that our ministry will be able to influence men to go out from us and take the Gospel to other countries in Africa.
I am happy to report that Rancy Harris, one of the men we are training, is ready to take a survey trip to Sierre Leone. It is his desire to plant a church there. Sierre Leone is a West African country with a population of approximately 6 million people. The predominant religion is Islam.
Rancy is a zealous servant of God who has demonstrated faithful leadership in our local church. He is currently working on his degree at Hyles-Anderson College of West Africa, and his family of six faithfully attends all the church functions. Furthermore, his children are enrolled in our Christian school. Rancy is currently serving on our church staff here at Fundamental Baptist Church International.
It our desire to help Rancy take a survey trip to Sierre Leone so that he can begin preparations for going there as a missionary. We estimate the cost of this trip to be $1,300.
We ask you to please pray for this cause and to consider contributing financially to this trip. If you would like to give, you can send a check to FBMI, 507 State Street, Hammond, IN 46320. In the memo section of the check, please write “#6180 Sierra Leone trip.”
Also, our team family prayer this month is from the Christiansens. Pray for them to finish raising their support quickly.
God bless,
Ted Speer
