“Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!” (Psalm 71:19)
I don’t know what I have done to deserve all that God has allowed me to be a part of. I feel like the most fortunate man in the world to enjoy the blessings God has bestowed upon me. I am blessed with an incredible wife and children with whom to serve the Lord and a church that is second to none. I am humbled by those who call me pastor and, by God’s grace, allow me to help them in their Christian lives.
The year 2025 ended with our ministry seeing more than 8,300 souls saved, 535 public professions of faith in our services, and 190 who followed the Lord in baptism. One of our graduates, Bro. Nelson Duran, started a new church in Dauin—30 minutes south of us—on December 21. He is now holding regular services, with visitors attending and people being saved weekly. Many of his members have already been trained as soul winners and are faithfully going out each week to win others to Christ. Please pray for this new ministry and his dear family. If you are looking for a church to help, I can’t think of a better investment.
This January 2026, we were blessed to celebrate 15 years of God’s faithfulness in Dumaguete. We took 2 Sundays to honor the Lord by attempting big days to bring more people into the church. On January 18, we had 791 in attendance (415 teens and adults and 376 children). That morning, 122 were saved, with 37 following the Lord in baptism.
The following Sunday, we saw 800 in attendance (again, the majority being teens and adults), with 118 saved; 36 were baptized in the morning service and 1 more in the afternoon service. Combined, the 2 Sundays resulted in 240 souls saved and 74 baptized. Praise the Lord! That does not include the hundreds saved in our schools and through other soul-winning efforts during the week. The harvest truly is plenteous. Please pray as we work to follow up on and help these new believers to grow.
We were honored to have visitors join us during our anniversary services. Pastor Sheldon Schearer brought a group from his church in Great Falls, Montana, and preached on the first Sunday. Pastor John Wilkerson, from Hammond, Indiana, brought a small group to be with us the second Sunday. Our people were greatly blessed, and I pray we were a blessing to them as well, as they witnessed firsthand what God is doing here in Dumaguete through the people of International Baptist Church.
Please pray for my family, as we will be taking a 10-week furlough—the longest we have taken since arriving on the field more than 15½ years ago. We will be in the United States from February 18 through April 27 and will be traveling through California, Colorado, Wyoming, Indiana, Missouri, Texas, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, and Michigan. By God’s grace, we have a full schedule and hope to see many friends along the way.
May I encourage you to take your church members on missions trips? American churches need to regain a burden for the world, and there is no better way than to see it in person. This is a great place to start, and we would love to help facilitate a trip. Please contact me about planning a visit, or check with FBMI, as they are planning a trip here in August 2026.
Thank you to all who pray for and support the work of the ministry here. We are so blessed to serve the Lord together with you. Please keep holding the ropes—there is much more work to do.
’Til the whole world knows,
Randy DeMoville
