Osmin and Eva Gutierrez Prayer Letter: Sending Two Young People to Bible CollegeLast month, we had the joy of sending two of our young people to Bible college. They are a testimony of God’s grace. David’s father was involved in gangs and was murdered when David was little. A couple of years later, his stepfather was also murdered. I believe David would have gotten involved in gangs, which could have caused him also to have a premature death, had it not been for Jesus and our church’s influence in his life.

Gisela also grew up in a rough environment. Her uncle was murdered by a gang. Her older sister was kidnapped by a gang and has not been seen for over ten years. Her mom was threatened and had to leave the country. Gisela has not seen her mom in over a decade! By God’s grace, she did not get pregnant out of wedlock, as most of the girls in her family have done. Now she is going to Bible college and is preparing herself to serve God with her life.

Last week, we had the joy of having a revival conference in our church. We had two special speakers, Pastor Luis Dole and Pastor Obdulio Altamirano. We had good preaching, delicious food, and great fellowship. We had good crowds, and God moved in the hearts of our people.

During the last two months, I have been experiencing a lot of joint pain. I thought it would go away quickly with some medication a doctor in our church prescribed, but it has not. To make matters worse, a couple of weeks ago, while a church member was helping me close a large metal gate, the gate fell upon him. I had an adrenaline rush and was able to lift the big gate off of him, but as I lifted the gate, it seemed like I pulled some muscles in my hips and in my back. I went to a specialist and have started treatment. Pray that the treatment works and that I will be able to have a full recovery.

Thank you for your prayers and financial support. May God bless you and continue to use you.

Truly,

Osmin Gutierrez
