It’s full steam ahead with our building project! We’re so blessed to have a group of men in our church who possess a variety of handy skills. This past month, our church has laid flooring in the new auditorium, framed up the new Sunday school rooms, put drywall on most of the walls, and upgraded our sound system. We’re excited to announce that we’ve now moved into our new auditorium! There’s still some more work to do, and we’re hoping to have everything finished this next month. Please continue to pray for our building project and that God will continue to provide the necessary funds to finish it.
We’ve been tract distributing in Forster, and we were able to have our second meeting there on the last Sunday of September. We had a good crowd and a great time of fellowship afterwards. Please pray, as we will be having two churches from Sydney come up this next month to help distribute tracts and invite folks to church in Forster.
In Taree, we’ve continued with our ministries. Bible college is almost finished for the year. I have two more doctrines to teach the students. One of my students has been putting into practice what she’s learned in college. Very burdened for her friend, she shared with him the plan of salvation, and he trusted Christ as his Saviour! Praise the Lord! I’ve been talking to him about baptism. Please pray that he would take that next step. Please also pray for a man named Michael, whom I’ve been witnessing to. He’s still struggling on the fact that Christ is God’s Son. I’ve given him some materials to study over. Please pray that he would be persuaded and that he would believe.
This past month, we had the privilege to attend this year’s National Baptist Fellowship conference in Sydney. I was reconnected with some old acquaintances and met many new ones. We were challenged once again to “Contend for the Faith.”
Our family is starting to feel more at home here in Australia. We feel like we belong here, and we’re so excited that God has placed us here where we are. The children are enjoying church and homeschooling, my wife is getting more comfortable with the culture here, and I’m sounding more Aussie each day! Thank you for all the birthday greetings and cards. It means a lot to me. We thank you for your love, your continued prayers, and your support!
Your servant in Christ,
Garry Tingson
