Ricardo Leyva Prayer Letter: Visiting Churches on FurloughDear Co-laborers,

December was a very busy month for meetings right until the Sunday before Christmas, which is very unusual due to the Christmas activities that churches have in December, especially during the second half of the month. We had meetings in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Illinois.

In one of those churches, I stayed two extra days and taught in their Bible institute on a Tuesday night for three hours. In another church I stayed an extra day and helped work around the church with cleaning, painting, repairing, changing, etc. It was a privilege to be in these churches and to be a blessing to them, although I would say that they were more of a blessing to us! They showed us love and cared for us. Also, it was good to see old friends from many years ago whom we had not seen in years. Needless to say, we also went soul winning with these churches and saw people saved.

Christmas time was very good for our family. I think that it is good for the family to have Christmas here in the United States every few years that we come home on furlough. Overall, December was a great month.

January was very slow meetings wise! We only had two meetings, and those were toward the second half of the month. Both of them were within a two-hour drive of our base in Northwest Indiana.

Needless to say, January was a very cold and snowy month. Our children are enjoying the snow very much! They know that they are not going to see it again for a few more years. I am trying to enjoy the snow myself! I am trying! I am trying!

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

Please pray for:

1. Our family’s safety as we travel.
2. My wife’s health.
3. Us to be able to raise our support level.

Sincerely,

Ricardo Leyva
