October has truly been an exciting month here at Lighthouse Baptist Church of Acacia! First, our teenagers, including Jeffrey and Hannah, have worked hard to finish their soul-winning classes. Now the most exciting part is happening Sunday after Sunday this month, that is, they have now put into practice what they have learned. Each Sunday, they have led several people through the Gospel. All in all, we have seen 13 teenagers show that they can lead someone through the Gospel! We are thrilled to see how God is using our youth within the church! Please continue to pray for them; pray that God will give them a lasting desire to keep leading others to Christ!
Second, we were blessed to have one adult, Lourine, and one teenager, Angel, come forward this month for believer’s baptism. Then thirdly, Jeffrey approached me this past month and asked if he could possibly teach his own class. Then Hannah asked me if she could teach a class as well. Both Jeffrey and Hannah are now teaching their own classes after the main service while I am teaching the teenagers. Jeffrey is teaching 10- to 12-year-old boys, and Hannah is teaching 10- to 12-year-old girls. I am so thankful for the way God is working in their hearts. I ask that you pray for God to continue working in their lives and using them for His glory!
It has also been a blessing seeing our adults become more faithful and more excited not just about the main service but also about our Sunday school hour! We have been studying through the book of Judges and have competitions and games to go along with our studies! The adults have become just as involved and are excited each week! Praise the Lord for what He is doing here at LBC of Acacia!

Before salvation, I used to believe that works would take you to Heaven, but I came to understand that not just works would take you to Heaven. No works will take you to Heaven. I came to realize that there is a different way that will take you to Heaven. One is to believe and trust in Jesus Christ only because He died for our sins, and whoever believes in Him will have eternal life. Don’t be fifty percent with God and still be doing the Devil’s work. But be with God forever because you don’t know when God is coming back, and if he comes and finds you just with the Devil, He will throw you to the lake of fire. After learning this, I knew that I would go to Hell because I was believing in works, but I learned that if you ask God for forgiveness with a willing heart, He will forgive your sins. One day, He will come for His people.
