Big Days
We just finished three weeks of special days. Our first Sunday was Mother’s Day, with 360 in services. We had many mothers attend this special day to honor mothers. We saw 16 trust Christ as well. Our next Sunday was Music Sunday, with nearly 400 people coming to church. We saw 33 trust Christ and 1 baptized on this Sunday. The Sunday after that was Deaf Sunday. Over 320 were in attendance, with 4 trusting Christ as their Saviour and 2 being baptized.
Vacation Bible School
We were blessed to have the Bechtold Family Singers from our home church here to help us with a one-day Vacation Bible School. We are never sure how many children will attend these events, so we prepare as best we can and pray. When the day came, we had over 600 kids and workers attend, with 49 trusting Christ as their Saviour.
Water Generator
In conjunction with Hays Pure Water for All, we were able to donate a 250-liter water generator to our local hospital. This will produce chlorine to purify thousands of liters of water. I did have one stipulation for donating the generator: that I be given an opportunity to speak to the nurses and doctors about some spiritual matters. What a blessing it was to be able to share the Gospel with over 100 doctors, nurses, and medical professionals! These types of donations also help with our relationship, as we seek to do a mobile medical clinic at our church later on this year.
Open-Air Meeting
A couple weeks ago, we held an open-air meeting. We had special music and preaching. We had 324 in attendance, with 21 saved. It was a wonderful opportunity to preach the Gospel and invite people to church. In fact, we had some visitors on Sunday because of the meeting.
Radio Update
Praise the Lord! We have been approved for the station! Please continue to pray as we now finalize the last things for the studio and set up the equipment. We would like to begin pre-recording programs so that when we do go on air, we will have a library ready. Please pray for the final needs of this project.
Stadium Crusade
Please pray for the Tanzanian Stadium Crusade that will take place on July 29. We have a group from First Baptist Church in Hammond, Indiana, coming to help run the crusade. Pray that God’s will would be done and that we would see many trust Christ.
