It always seems odd to be sending Thanksgiving and Christmas wishes when it is late spring, early summer in our part of the world. Instead of cold weather and snow, we have high 80s and oppressive humidity. Oh, the travesty! Regardless, we have much to thank the Lord for, so allow me to count our blessings.
We have seen several people saved recently, both out soul winning and in services. We had several weeks in a row this month where four to five hands were raised for salvation each Sunday night. Several of these new brothers and sisters in Christ will begin discipleship this week. Two men have followed the Lord in believer’s baptism this month, and we have two other people who need to take that step of public obedience.
We are gearing up now for a special outreach for Christmas. We will have a live nativity again this year, and we are going to have a short Christmas program. Our prayer is to see many visitors come and hear the Gospel. Along with that, we will be going out into the destitute/homeless communities with some Christmas care packages (mostly food and hygiene items), trying to spread the Gospel. We would appreciate your prayers for these endeavors.
We covet your prayers for the church to continue to grow, both in number and in spiritual maturity. Pray for the upcoming outreach opportunities during the holiday season. Please continue praying for safety and provision. God has always met our needs on time, every time, but we do not ever want to take for granted the role of God’s people in meeting those needs. We love you and appreciate you, and we are praying for you. Merry Christmas from the Palla family.
Declaring His glory,
Wesley Palla
