I want to share with you the victories from the last several weeks and ask you to rejoice with us at God’s blessings on the work here. Your prayers and giving have a direct impact on what the Lord has done here.
Our Spring Program began on October 13, right after our Children’s Day event, and concluded this past week on November 13 at the close of our Missions Conference. Over those 5 weeks, we welcomed over 40 first-time adult visitors to church, saw at least 10 people make the decision to trust Christ during one of our services, watched our Sunday morning prayer service attendance increase by 20%, and had 9 people baptized. Praise the Lord for His goodness!
For our Missions Conference this year, we were able to bring in a missionary couple to unreached Amazon tribes and a church planter and his family overseeing two churches in the Brazilian desert 12 hours north of us. Last year, our church folks gave $200 a month to missions, and after a wonderful conference again this year, we are praying that the Lord will enable our folks to increase their participation yet again.
Immediately after our conference ended, we pivoted to getting ready for our first ever Youth Camp. We have some incredible workers in our church who minister to our Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs every Saturday. It was kids and teens from our Saturday meetings who participated in camp. We had a wonderful time! Praise the Lord, there were no injuries, everyone had a great attitude, the Lord worked in the campers’ hearts, and everyone had nothing but good things to say upon our return home. I was so proud of the workers who planned, organized, and worked together to make camp a rousing success. My heart was full for many, many reasons.
Please pray with us for:
• Our new hospital visitation ministry.
• Our young people who made decisions at camp.
• Some new training times and a curriculum that we are implementing to train more soul winners in our church.
• Our health and safety. Since the elections in early October, our city has been troubled with much more violence and many more protests than usual.
We are honored to represent you here in the northeast of Brazil. God bless you all.
Declaring His glory,
Wesley Palla
