Greetings to you in the name of our risen Saviour, Jesus Christ our Lord. I hope that this letter finds you in good health.
This is my joy to give you the reports on how God has been doing great things in the works of God. I am pleased when I see that our small churches are growing in grace. The Vacation Bible School programs were great; they went very well. We combined together the church children and both children homes of Faith and Agape. My wife and I both enjoyed teaching the children’s classes. I taught the kindergarten class. Things are much different from teaching the adult Sunday school class.
My preacher boy, Pastor Ko Htwe of Hlaing Tharyar Baptist Church, has done a great job in his works. At his summer camp, six people got saved, and after teaching on the security of salvation, I baptized all of them at church on Easter Sunday. This morning, I received another call from one of my preacher boys, Pastor James Van Uk of Kyanam Bible Baptist Church. He gave me the report that during their Easter Sunday service, four people received Christ as their personal Saviour. My heart rejoiced at hearing of their works and all that God is doing with them. I have learned that when people are suffering, they get closer to God, they hunger for Jesus, and they put their trust in God.
God is greatly working in our midst. The country suffered politically, economically, educationally, and in all aspects. God Himself used His Word, and several people turned to Him. The country has declined so much in every aspect. We need your prayers and your help. God has been so good to my family and to all of my preacher boys’ families. We are doing great. We keep on going. There are souls to be saved, and it is our job to continue carrying the Gospel of Jesus to more people, winning them to Christ, and establishing more independent Baptist churches. Amen!
We are in need of your prayers. Pray that we might serve our needy people better and greater, with commitment and competence in the days to come. Amen.
Prayer Requests
1. Pray for my health. I have had so much pain in my back and side for almost a month. Please pray for my recovery.
2. We need two church buildings. One church will cost about $36,000 – $40,000 (60 feet x 26 feet with concrete walls), and the other one is 70 feet x 28 feet (the foundation and the ground floor will be concrete).
3. Pray for my country’s political conditions. The nation is facing political corruption and is under the pressure of the regimes.
