The month of July has been a useful month in the service of the Lord, and we are very thankful to Him for everything!
At the beginning of the month, Abr___, an Orthodox classmate from Ethiopia came to our home for an appointment. The Lord used His Word and the story of the Ethiopian eunuch to really bring it home to him personally. The next day we had a special midweek service planned for the 4th of July, and we grilled out after the service. With Abr__ getting baptized, it made the day even more special! Praise the Lord!
As I mentioned in our previous letter, I was invited by my teammate and friend to go with him to America. We left home on that Saturday and returned home the following Friday. It was a very brief and busy trip. We were involved in a Missions Mastermind for missionaries, pastors, and businessmen. We also attended one day of the Missions University and were able to see some family, eat some American food, and witness to some folks. Don’t take your freedoms for granted, and USE them for Jesus! Praise God for His safety and provision!
Last week I was working in my office, and the Holy Spirit strongly impressed upon me that I was to leave the house. I tried to argue with Him and tell him that I really needed to get some stuff done, but He insisted. So I wondered, What should I go do? I didn’t want to wander and waste time. He reminded me that I needed to go to the bank, and I also grabbed my Chinese textbook to review. After going to the bank, I went by the college to find a security guard to practice my vocabulary words on. While there, a student from Zimbabwe came by, and we started talking. I asked him how his summer was going thus far, and he said that he was bored. I invited him over for supper (about 30 minutes from then), and he accepted the invitation. (Praise God for a gracious and flexible wife who is a phenomenal cook!) Praise God that over the dinner table, Tak___ received Christ as Saviour. He seemed very ready, and the Holy Spirit was so very much in it. Please pray that
he will take the next step and get baptized.
Praise God that Ray___ is very faithfully continuing in discipleship and attendance to the midweek service.
Please continue to pray for our language learning and for men we can train, who will train others also.
Thank you to each of you for your prayers and support. We could not be doing what we are without your faithfulness. Onward and upward!
In His service,
M6011 and Family
