We have just about completed our two-month furlough. In June, we were based in Virginia; now we are in Northwest Indiana. God has been good to us. We have had some great meetings in churches, and our time with family and friends has been precious. One of the prayer requests for our furlough has been that God would open doors for us to share the Gospel. Here are a few answers to this prayer request:
• On the day we left Ghana, my son John and I had the opportunity to witness to our taxi drivers. I believe two of them trusted Christ.
• For two weekends, we went soul winning in my hometown of Ironto, Virginia. A man named John and then a married couple, Joe and Amanda, professed their faith in Christ.
• For the last two weekends in June, our family distributed door hangers for a Vacation Bible School while looking for soul-winning opportunities. We thank God for the salvation of Magarito, Ebenecio, Axel, Norma, Arnufo, Jonque, and Emily.
• On the first Saturday in July, John and I had the privilege to go soul winning with my father-in-law, Paul Osgood, and brother-in-law Jonathan. I was able to lead a man named Archie to Christ. Pray for his wife Tiffany to be saved.
• And today, Maria went soul winning with her mom and won two teens, Jay and Elizabeth, to Christ!
We praise God for souls saved and for answers to prayer! As we have traveled, I have been able to mention some of our ministry’s needs. Please join us in praying that God would provide for these projects:
• Finish third floor of our school building to allow our school to expand and provide a place for a recording studio
• Church building – Fundamental Baptist Church – Foase – Pastor Otchere Boachie (church planter)
• Finish mission house – Fundamental Baptist Church – Petrensa – Pastor Isaac Owusu Ansah

Prayer Requests
In addition to the above needs, pray that God will bless the last 2½ weeks of our furlough. Maria and I will be speaking several times at FBMI’s Missions University next week. I also have the opportunity to give a testimony at First Baptist Church of Hammond’s Youth Conference, and we get to give updates about the work here to churches in Wisconsin and Virginia. Finally, we are excited about the plans God has for our son John as he starts Bible college this fall, but we will miss him so much. If you would like to send him a note of encouragement, his address is John Sarver, Hyles-Anderson College, 8400 Burr Street, Crown Point, IN 46307. We truly covet your prayers for him and for us.
Your servants and His,
Mike, Maria, John, Joy, Faith, & Ben
