July was a month of gratitude and celebration! While fireworks were lighting up the skies over America, we were lighting up the grill here in Thailand, celebrating the 4th of July with a few of our American friends. Even though we are on the other side of the world, our hearts are full of thankfulness for the blessings God has poured out on our country and for the privilege of being Americans.
The Lord allowed us to lead 11 souls to Christ this month. Two of these individuals were people we have been praying would receive Christ for some time. Yen, a Thai lady who has been coming to church with her fiancé Rob, sweetly accepted Christ while sitting at her kitchen table. She told me that she had been watching Rob, who is a Christian, since they first met and had noticed the joy he seemed to have that so many others did not. When I told her that she could have that same joy, she asked, “How do I know if what I feel in my heart is really faith?” I took her right to Romans 10:9. After a few moments, she bowed her head and confessed her faith in Jesus Christ!
Another answer to prayer was when Trond, a big Norwegian man in his seventies, got saved. His Thai wife Took has been coming to church for the last three months. He only recently started coming with her. Bro. Chad Inman and I had both witnessed to Trond at different times, but he was not willing to receive Christ. Last Sunday during the invitation, Trond raise his hand for salvation. I sat down with him and went through the Gospel again. Tears ran down his cheeks as he tenderly received Christ into his heart. A few minutes later, he took the next step and got baptized!
We had the privilege of hosting a teen activity the other day and had 27 teenagers in our home! It was a special time of games, eating, singing, and preaching. One of our preacher boys shared a five-minute sermon with the young people before I closed out the evening with a challenge. It is so exciting to think about the potential that was sitting in our living room. Please pray that God will direct the lives of each of these young people to do great things for Him!
We took a family day and went to the Hua Hin Safari. We got to see tigers, ride an elephant, and hold crocodiles! If you come for a visit, we’ll take you there too!
Thank you for your love, support, and prayers!
Mikey’s Moment
This kid keeps us laughing all of the time! The other day, he spotted his ball on the floor and said, “Wanna play ball, Mama? Wanna play ball?” He then immediately followed in a much higher voice, “Suuure, Mikey! Let’s play ball. C’mon!”
