Thank you for your prayers as we continue to serve the Lord here in the Philippines. These last two months, our church has gone through some ups and downs because of government protocols. Sometimes our city will allow our church attendance to have a 10-percent capacity, sometimes a 30-percent capacity, and sometimes even a 50-percent capacity. In times like these, we know that God is in control.
Family Baptist Church was started in 2019 in a different area of our city, but because of the pandemic, we had to close it down for one year. A few months ago, we restarted the church. It is very hard to start all over again, yet we continue to pray for the new church that God will give us wisdom on how to grow and still follow government protocols. Please pray with us that God will continue to work in hearts and lives. A few weeks ago, we invited two sisters, Jessica and Jamaika, to Family Baptist Church. They called on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation and are now faithfully attending. Thank the Lord for His amazing grace!
Sometimes we may want to be in control, but we know the God Who is still on the throne. He is in control, and we trust Him. Highland Baptist Church is currently having services at 30-percent capacity, as well as live online streaming. Praise the Lord that we can do both, as some of our people attend online. Some of our members have lost their jobs in the city and have gone back home to their provinces. We thank the Lord that they continue to be faithful in attending any way they can! We are praying that one day they can come back to the city and get jobs.
It has been five years since our family has been back to America. We feel blessed, as many missionaries are not allowed to return to their countries of service to the Lord because of travel restrictions. Our family is happy, healthy, and content as we continue to serve the Lord where we are! Thank you for your continued love, prayers, and financial support. (The photos are of Family Baptist Church.)
